The Corsican Community, established on January 1, 2018, exercises extensive powers at the regional level in the service of the development of the island.

Secondary education, vocational training, guidance, middle and high schools, higher education and research
Lingua corsa
Adoption and implementation of the development plan for the teaching of Corsican language and culture; promotion of language in society: early childhood, media, language immersion, training, publishing, new technologies; linguistic observatory mission; linguistic standardization
Environment – energy transition and waste
Protection of natural spaces (sites, fauna and flora), waste prevention and promotion of the circular economy, fire prevention and fighting, development of renewable energies with a view to energy autonomy

Road, port, airport and rail infrastructure, school transport, maritime and air connections
